This week, we begin with some classic Easter candy! We'll be reviewing Easter candy throughout the month of April, and today, we learn about the history of Marshmallow Peeps! Learn more about the fascinating immigrant who invented Peeps HERE!
Or, if you hate Peeps, check out the Facebook page for Peeps' Haters HERE.
After snacking on the marshmallow treats, we explore the history of Alvin and the Chipmunks, beginning with The Chipmunk Song from 1958 and the episode "Theodore's Dog" from The Alvin Show which aired in 1961 and is linked below.
After doing a deep dive on the origins of the Chipmunks, we move into our memories of the 1980s cartoon. We watched the first three segments of the video below:
We also watched the feature "Trick or Treason," one of the Chipmunks' Halloween Specials, also available below from YouTube.
Megan mentions watching Alvin and the Chipmunks from 2007 and Road Chip from 2015, both of which are available HERE on Disney+
And last, but certainly not least, The "C" Team, features Mr. T.
Megan mentions the wonderful "Bob and Sheri Podcast" episode "Talking Turkey with Mr. T," where Mr. T answers questions from listeners about Thanksgiving. You can find the full episode HERE.
Each week, we'll post the links to the shows and films we watched, so you can "play along at home."
